9 Things You Told Me
It's been amazing talking to some of you last week for the research calls. You can't beat actual human-to-human conversation!
You've been sharing your one-to-many ideas with me, your struggles, your fears & of course your hopes & dreams too.
And honestly I'm overwhelmed by how genuine & kind you are. Yes I know it sounds cheesey (because it is!), but point number 5 below has really blown me away.
So here's what I'm learning from you:
There are some really clear fears & worries you have in common.
You mostly use the term ‘one-to-many’ instead of online offer, digital product, course or group programme & you get the heebie-jeebies when people say 'launch', like it's not really for you but for other marketing-y folk.
You have multiple quiet whispers of ideas in your mind but hate the thought of jumping on the bandwagon for the sake of it
The creative aspects of your one-to-many offer is a major thing for you - you want the message and the look of it to be spot on & flow with your current branding
You’re terrified that what you create won’t live up to your own high standards
You're genuinely motivated by a need to help others. Every. Single. One. Of. You. In every way this came up, you are telling me how you know you can make a difference, you know you can make people's lives better in some small or big way. This is what drives you.
You see the marketing as being a big hurdle between your creation & people buying it. It feels like a mountain to climb & past 'failures' (lessons!) are giving you the dreads
You want evergreen - to do work upfront then have something you can rinse & repeat easily as & when it suits you
You want to section off your time better & have an alternative income strand you can rely on
You still want my help with your branding, fonts, colours & web design, in fact we covered loads of ground in the 1:1 portion of our research calls
Why share this?
I debated whether to share all of this, in case I'm 'giving away' my secrets for the Online Incubator sales page (which I’m planning on renaming btw). But then I thought it would give you heart to know others feel like you do!
So from the bottom of my heart to yours, thank you for your time.
I have another couple of calls next week & am now closing bookings.
**Are you launching soon Cat?**
Haha you also all asked me this!
I'm super transparent with you when I tell you I've been battling a little with this pivot, telling myself you don't want a brand consultant to help you with your online one-to-many product. Who am I to help you with that?
Well, someone you want in your corner it seems (thank you!). Someone who’s a few steps ahead, having run ad campaigns, online challenges etc, but not so far ahead that I can’t remember what it’s like. Or palm you off on my team instead of giving you personal attention.
I’m humbled & happy to hear this. Now I KNOW how wrong I am, I can have a word with myself & get on with it!
So yes, 7 days folks.
Doors open to my email list Sunday 18th July 2020, which is a day before everyone else.
Eaaak!
If you're on the waiting list you’ll find out first.
In Summary
You are all amazing & your time on the phone has been fantastic for some market research!
You're scared of launching to crickets, you battle imposter syndrome, you don't want to be like everyone else.
But most amazing of all, you're truly motivated by the need to help people. You know you can help others like no one else can, but battle with the marketing & the tech, as well as simply making the time for it.

What kind of online course creator are you?
After this research I created a quiz to help you find out! You can explore course creation ideas and find out if you suit a self-paced course, a membership, a group programme or a workshop! It’s fun & only 5 questions (plus I don’t with hold the answer for your email!)
